Birdingplaces continues to grow rapidly outside Europe and birders from many new countries are joining. But also inside Europe we keep growing fast. Therefore we are looking for new Country Editors that would like to join us.
Birdingplaces is a platform that is run by volunteers and our Country Editors play a vital role in this. Country Editors are our volunteers who review new areas that are added to Birdingplaces and edit the descriptions. Is the text okay? Is the map okay? Is the birdlist okay? Is something missing? After they have reviewed and edited the description, they are the ones who put the area online with the ‘Publish’ button. Country Editors also help to improve and update existing area descriptions and help to promote the Birdingplaces platform.
Country Editors are very important for Birdingplaces because they contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of information. For some countries (and several states in Australia and the USA) we are still looking for enthusiast Country Editors.
