On this page we will explain how easy it is to add a new bird area.
Step 1: Create a free account
To add an area to Birdingplaces you need to have an account. Don't worry: creating an account is free and very easy. Just click here on ‘Login’ or go to ‘Login’ at the top of the page.
Step 2: go to ‘Add a Birdingplace’
When you are logged in, click on ‘Add a Birdingplace’ on the homepage or in the menu. The template to add a new area will immediately open and you can start right away.
Important: Adding a new area to Birdingplaces works best on PC or laptop. Second best option is using a tablet. Mobile phone is possible but not advised. Adding a new area to Birdingplaces is easiest on a PC or laptop.
Step 3: enter text and info
A user-friendly template guides you through the input process in 8 simple steps. For example, in step 1 you enter the name of the area. In step 2, you enter the location of the area. In step 3 the description, etc. After each step, just click 'Next' to continue to the next step. It's self-explanatory. You will also receive detailed help and tips for each step on the sidelines of the page. Finally, as the last step, click on 'Publish' and you are done.
